About Us
Through the collective efforts of approximately twenty Black accountants, the Greater Miami Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, (the"Chapter") was organized in September, 1975. The primary impetus behind the formation of the Chapter was a desire to provide avenues to increase minority interest in the accounting profession and to encourage professional development while stimulating community awareness.
Since its inception, the Chapter has become an influential force in the South Florida area.

Greater Miami-South Florida
This year, NABA-Greater Miami-South Florida Chapter has nearly 100 local professional members in various accounting arenas including Public Accounting, Major Corporations, Government, Non-Profit Organizations, and Sole Practitioners. In addition, Greater Miami-South Florida has three thriving Student Member Chapters at Florida International University, the University of Miami, and Florida Memorial College.
